I think if I read one more blog post about Naomi Campbell becoming a journalist I think I'm going to scream...

I love technology.  I love blogs and subscribe to many fashion blogs and I'm so grateful that we have access to all this information at the speed of lightning.  I like that everyone can now voice their opinions and share their fashion experiences.  On the other hand I'm frustrated with reading about the same ol' regurgitated information. 

Yes, that's fine if you want to share the news that Naomi Campbell wants to become a writer, but don't let it stop there.  How do YOU feel about Naomi Campbell writing?  What does it mean to you?  My online gripe with everyone being able to blog nowadays is that there's too much noise and not enough voices.  What do I mean by "voices", you ask?  Voices are the people who have something meaningful to bring to the table.

 

I'm not saying that every single post has to sound poetic, prophetic, or filled with philosophical thoughts.  I'm just saying that get a little personal and let others know your true opinion about what you're writing about.  If you're stuck in a writing rut, read this to boost your creativity.

I don't mean for this post to sound like I'm whining (and perhaps I am), but I'd like to challenge other fashion bloggers to really look at their blog and ask themselves how they could really improve in their writing and sharing of information.  This is not to say that I know it all - although sometimes I wish I did.  I know that my writing could be improved upon as well.  If you have a suggestion on how I could improve The Runway Scoop, you're welcome to leave a comment or email me:  maria [at] therunwayscoop.com.
