As I browsed through a business magazine at the bookstore the other day, a
Zappos.com
ad caught my eye. Now lately I've been coming across many Zappos ads, but they've come from unexpected sources and not from your typical fashion magazines as one may think an online shoe retailer would choose to advertise.

No, unlike many retailers, Zappos has chosen to market themselves on the foundation of
providing excellent service - something many fashion retailers seem to have overlooked nowadays.
And if you've ever seen other Zappos ads, you'll notice that they don't use gorgeous or half-naked models to market their products. They use ordinary-looking people and witty ad copy.
Would this type of ad work for high-end retailers or fashion houses? Perhaps not, but hey, it'll be something different to try out.
