Atlanta Carpet Cleaning - interior fashion never looked so clean! The fabrics, upholstery and carpet runways makeup assistants.
Awhile back I talked about a new online magazine called Unvogue which caught my eye. I wanted to get to know Tyson Perez, the mastermind behind this venture, and he was kind enough to take some time out from his busy schedule to do an interview...
TRS: What inspired you to start UNVOGUE Magazine?
TP: What inspired me to create UNVOGUE was after the S/S 08 Mercedes Benz Fashion week. There were just too many angry or pseudo angry ppl in the tents, both in the business and aspiring fashionista's. So i decided to create a get-away where the happy people in fashion could find solace. lol.
TRS: What can we expect from UNVOGUE in the near future?
TP: You can expect alot of growth from UNVOGUE magazine to come. Even if you look at our 1st issue compared to the one out now...you see that we've already began to blossom into our own aesthetic.
TRS: Would you say that it's easier to start an online magazine versus a regular print magazine? What has been your biggest challenge so far?
TP: I think that starting any business on your own is difficult, but if it's your vision and you truly believe in it; you will overcome all obstacles. The biggest challenge for the whole UNVOGUE team at this point has been making sure we stay relevant, that we aren't just another one of those "now you see them, now you don't" publications.
TRS: I've been reading some of the feedback about your magazine around the "blogosphere". What do you say to people who believe that online magazines are harder to read?
Honestly, I feel if you're interested in the magazine's articles then it isn't hard at all...It's just as easy as logging onto PerezHilton or The Fashion Bomb to get your latest gossip or fashion news.
TRS: Where do you get ideas for your fashion shoots?
Our very small team of creatives kind of throw ideas out and we go with the most unique and innovative.
TRS: What do you do when you're not working on your magazine?
TP: I am a fashion stylist, I mainly work with Alternative Pop and Rock artists.
TRS: How would you describe your style of fashion?
TP: What's so funny is, I was just asking someone to describe my style from their viewpoint and I got the most honest response...I think my style is a mixture of all of the things I am modern luxury with an urban rock twist.
TRS: When did you realize that fashion was your thing?
TP: When I was about 5 years old and would put on these imaginary runway shows using my next door neighbor as one of the other models (although I am sure he wasn't at all into fashion).
TRS: Who has been your greatest inspiration life?
TP: For the 1st part of my life, I have to say my grandmother and then my boyfriend of 6 years.
TRS: What's one piece of advice you would give to others who would like to start an online magazine?
TP: I say one should know the purpose of the magazine and really solidify what the magazine will represent.
