I wanted to do a nice little write-up of Japan Fashion Week, but that idea was thrown out when I discovered that Coutorture has enough coverage to keep any fashion reader busy for the next week - or lunch hour if you're crunched for time ;)  One of my favorite collections is the Yukiko Hanai Fall 2008.

When I think of fashion from Japan, words like "eclectic", "unpredictable", and "edgy" come to mind.  As I've said before, I'm quite fascinated with Japanese street wear.  I often see Japanese exchange students walking around here in San Diego with a happy-go-lucky smile on their faces and dressed effortlessly (so it seems) from head to foot.
