Perhaps L.A. Fashion Week is the "bastardized stepchild of the fashion week season", but I do agree that this stepchild is growing up and letting her voice be heard.  After all, this is L.A. - home of glitz and glamor!  I agree that I tend to write off L.A. as just filler before the next exciting fashion event, but this week I'm actually interested in the collections being sent down the runways at Smashbox Studios. 

One of the standouts for me so far is the design duo of Falguni and Shane Peacock who are actually from India.  The collection is highly eclectic - a style I tend gravitate to - and very vibrant and colorful.  In a city that tends to play it safe when it comes to fashion, the Peacock brand has shaken and stirred things up a bit.
