“Would you like your book in a bag?” the cashier at the grocery store asked.
Book? What book? Oh, yeah, the spring issue of Vogue.
“No bag, thanks.”
This month Vogue has published the biggest spring issue thus far. Conde Nast made a killing in ad revenue this month. This month it isn’t a magazine, it is indeed a book…full of ads. Ad after ad after ad.
Some ads consist of the typical model pose. Oh, you know - model sprawled across a couch or wherever she can lay down and pretend to look dead.
However, out of all the ads my favorite is the first one. Diane Von Furstenberg is genius. I dig it. Enough said.

Its not surprising that Vogue is overrun with ads. The print industry is in an extremely volatile state and since most magazines make $ on ads (not subscriptions) they need to get as many ads in there as possible.
I stopped reading Vogue when I realized there wasn't much to read. For a while now, I've noticed that there are far more ads than articles and advice on fashion and to me its just too much filler.
