Back when I started my fashion career in the early 90's, there were "real" models on the covers of fashion magazines. Names like Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell were household names. Although these models have had to take the back seat as new faces appeared, in the past couple years they're making reappearances as older, wiser, and more sophisticated veteran models - and companies are lovin' it. After all, women like me who are also growing up don't really care for young, celebrity hoochies splattered across fashion glossies every other month. It's about time that fashion houses are catching onto this idea that "older" women want to see models that they can relate to. {Source}
