Back when I started my fashion career in the early 90's, there were "real" models on the covers of fashion magazines. Names like Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell were household names. Although these models have had to take the back seat as new faces appeared, in the past couple years they're making reappearances as older, wiser, and more sophisticated veteran models -
and companies are lovin' it. After all, women like me who are also growing up don't really care for young, celebrity hoochies splattered across fashion glossies every other month. It's about time that fashion houses are catching onto this idea that "older" women want to see models that they can relate to.

As a cosmetic surgeon who sees many beautiful women who were once big celebrities and now try to hold on to their beauty with a little help ;-), I am glad that some observers can appreciate what these trailblazer models still have to offer the younger set. True style can't be bought, it's in your attitude. Ciao!
