In the world of premium denim brands you have to wonder from a marketing standpoint how companies or designers are able to stand out from the rest of the crowd. With so many brands out there today, it can seem like a big whirl of blue denim - at least for someone like me who likes dresses more than jeans, that is.

My education on premium denim brands began when I worked at Nordstrom about five years ago. 7 Jeans were all the rage and after trying on jeans for an hour one day I did finally admit that yes, there is a difference between premium and "regular" denim.
Fast forward to today...I now understand and have an appreciation for premium denim brands. In fact, I may even head out to
Donna Marsh, an all-occasion fashion store in La Jolla, on July 17th to see
David Kahn. Kahn is a notable jeans designer known for his use of the best Japanese denim. He'll be at Donna Marsh to share styling tips and trends from 1pm - 3pm.
Donna Marsh is located at 7712 Fay Avenue, La Jolla, CA 92037. If you happen to be in San Diego on the 17th, let's meet!
Premium denim is worth every penny. Here's why:

I live in my Diesel jeans and have duplicated them. My white David Kahn’s are fabulous and so are my Sevens. Once you’ve gone down the road of premium denim, it’s hard to look back. There is no substitute.
