These days being a model is so much more than just having a pretty face and a nice body. Heidi Klum knows this all too well. The super-duper model graced the cover of the June 30, 2008 edition of Forbes. She’s been chosen as “The Celebrity 100” by the magazine which, of course, is a nomination well-deserved.
Besides promoting Victoria’s Secret, Project Runway, and a line of jewelry in the U.S., Klum is the face of McDonald’s, Volkswagen, Fontanis water, and Schwarzkopf in Germany. That’s enough to keep her bank happy for awhile.
However, what makes Heidi Klum such an interesting person and one of my favorite models is that she’s a down-to-earth and multi-dimensional person. Life isn’t just about fashion and modeling for her. In her book that was released a few years ago, Heidi Klum’s Body of Knowledge, she dishes advice not just to aspiring models, but she shares wisdom about how to navigate the journey of life.
One interesting thing I learned about Heidi Klum that I didn’t know before is her love for painting. She believes in finding your bliss. Here’s what she has to say:
“Romantically, I find there’s nothing more unattractive than a person who doesn’t have their ‘own thing’ but just takes on your life, and nothing is more attractive than someone who has many passions they call their own, want to talk about, want to show and share with you. And the beautiful part is, you don’t have to be a genius at any of it to make it worthwhile! You just need to make it yours to care about it and to enjoy it.”
And that, Dear Readers, is how everyone should live their lives…with passion. That’s why Heidi Klum is such a success.

I think true fashion is so much to do with how you lead your life - self-expression and all that. I'm glad Heidi Klum is reminding us of this.
Air kisses!
