Here's a press release from Jay McCarroll, season one winner of Project Runway:
One thing I've learned as a fashion designer is that there are so many great alternatives to the use of fur.
Together with other compassionate designers and people like you, we can send a strong message that the animals need their fur more than we do.
In September, I'm showing my new collection at New York Fashion Week, and I'm proud that The Humane Society of the United States will be sponsoring my show.
Now, you can win two tickets (airfare and hotel included!) to my fashion show with The HSUS on September 15th, 2006.
First, make your personal pledge to never buy products that use fur or fur trim.
Next, make sure to urge everyone you know to take a stand against cruelty, by urging them to sign the pledge too.
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) supporter who recruits the most new fur-free pledge signers will win tickets to my show on September 15th! Click here to urge your friends to sign the pledge.
I hope that you'll stand with me and the HSUS to end this cruelty. Thanks for taking action to help save animals today.
-Jay McCarroll
