The biggest news for Fashion Week in India is that the organizers did not allow an Afghan model to walk down the catwalk because she didn’t have the correct work permit. Just minutes before she was to take the stage, Vida Samadzai, was stopped by a “fashion show official” because she is an American citizen and didn’t have the necessary work permit. 

What’s a little annoying is that they’ve made such a big deal about this.  About a dozen sites talk about this incident…who cares?  Why is this such a big deal?  Maybe what they should have been focusing on is how more organized the event could have been…or how to really create an impact on international fashion.
